BPI Quality Control Inspector (QCI) Certification Course
Course Description:
This course prepares students for the BPI HEP Quality Control Inspector certification exam. Students will receive thorough instruction in:
•Building Science principles
•The Mathematics of Energy Auditing
•Combustion Appliance Zone (CAZ) safety diagnostics and Worst-Case Depressurization (WCD) testing procedures, results interpretation, and action levels
•Blower door diagnostic testing procedures and results interpretation
•Duct leakage diagnostic testing procedures and results interpretation
•Zonal and duct pressure differential diagnostic testing and results interpretation
•HVAC systems data collection, diagnostics testing, and results interpretation
•Energy modeling software data entry and results interpretation
•Documentation requirements associated with the BPI Quality Control Inspector certification
•Relevant programmatic requirements and associated documentation
•Documentation requirements associated with the BPI Quality Control Inspector certification
•BPI Quality Control Inspector Job Task Analysis-related Technical Standards and Best Practices (BPI, ASHRAE, NFPA, ACCA, OSHA, etc.)
•Applicable NREL Standard Work Specifications and Best Practices (NREL SWS)
•BPI Examinations review and best practices
Total Classroom Instruction/Exams Hours: 14

Day One – Classroom Instruction
Day Two – Review and Written Exams
Attending this course qualifies BPI Certified Professionals for 4 BPI CEUs.
